Quella che abbiamo festeggiato ieri sera, a Rimini in piazza Cavour, è una vittoria importante. Una vittoria supportata da numeri che testimoniano di una prevalenza nella quasi totalità dei comuni della nostra provincia.
Continua una storia di buon governo che mi ha visto precedere nel ruolo di Presidente della Provincia di Rimini da Ermanno Vichi e Ferdinando Fabbri. Un'affermazione che avviene in un momento difficile, in una fase di transizione complicata del nostro sistema politico e che ci consente di lavorare con serenità alla prospettiva di governo del nostro territorio.
Sono tante le persone da ringraziare per il risultato raggiunto. I partiti della coalizione che mi ha sostenuto e che ci ha consentito di mettere in campo un programma di governo innovativo e coerente. I candidati delle diverse liste che, nella grande maggioranza dei casi, hanno continuato ad impegnarsi anche aldilà del risultato raggiunto. I molti volontari che hanno operato fino alla fine con convinzione ed entusiasmo. Le tante persone semplici che hanno portato la propria briciola necessaria per garantire il successo finale.
Grazie davvero di cuore. Grazie per un risultato che non è personale ma di tanti. E dal quale mi deriva la grande responsabilità di corrispondere alle aspettative. Ce la metterò tutta, non c'è dubbio, consapevole di dovere rappresentare in prima persona il frutto dell'impegno, del sudore e del lavoro di tante belle persone.

Purtroppo noto con rammarico, leggendo i giornali, che la nuova giunta potrebbe essere composta da persone che si vantano della loro appartenenza politica di sinistra, ma non sono molto diverse da un buon "berlusconiano" e pretendono di continuare ad occupare posti di potere anche se raggiunti da un avviso di garanzia, così offuscando l'immagine di lealtà che il partito pretende di avere.
